And no mine is the solid one - I couldn't justify the £4 extra for the weight loss (end of the day it'd only be a couple of ounces !). Anyway, I just need a diet and the blade will see the best weight reduction it could ever hope for lol
I have the -1 +2 set up on mine .. goes like stink I can tell ya . Never mind the fact it is about 10 kilos lighter than stock Once I have this Titanium system fitted I am gonna weight it just to see . Can anyone tell me the all up weight with a full tank
I'm having the -1 +2 fitted on mine tomorrow, also 520 pitch (running DID chain and AFAM sprockets). Bike is mainly a trackbike and I was finding it a bit slow out of some sharp turns. This should sort it!
Thanks I had a look. They have a normal and an ultralight listed in 530. I got my back one from demon Tweeks. They have a 16t 530 listed but it doesn't say if ultralight or not. The renthal website has just one 16t 530 listed as does b and c express. I will give them a run and ask if it is the one with holes or not.
Thanks flatstick .. I bought 2 weighing scales from Lidl so I recon 1 under each wheel and I'm sorted :Banane17:
Fs the rear OE sprocket is 600 grammes while the Renthal item is 320 grammes. Front OE sprocket is 260 grammes, unfortunately I cant find a weight for the 15t Renthal replacement and couldn't be bothered to take it off and weigh it lol...
... I resemble that remark Sussed ..... they are both for me .. truth is I'm really Fatty Tart .. :hungry:
Cheers masher That's a good saving there! I didn't expect the standard sprocket to weigh so much I doubt the front one would be much lighter though.
Right here we go The speedo over reads by 5% as standard With a 55 rear tyre it over reads by just 2.3% Go up 2 teeth on the back to a 44 on a 50 tyre and speedo over reads by 9.5% Go up 2 teeth with a 55 rear tyre (which I have) and speedo over reads by 6% So up 2 teeth on the back with a 55 tyre gets your speedo more or less back to where it was when it left the factory
I think that's why they set them to read high! Gives you a slight margin for speed traps etc The odometer is pretty accurate though so the speedo and odo must work on a different ratio?
If you fit a speedo healer to a stock geared bike and set it to read the correct speed, it makes the odo read under. (Which is technically illegal).
What do I say, gearing is spot on at 15/44 !! Tested this affy and am over the moon - jot so over the moon with my new tyre tho ! 190/55 certainly...picked wheel up and 190/50 fitted doh !! Never mind it'll do...
Before I changed the gearing on mine I had some dyno runs to sort the fueling to suit the Leo Vince and asked him for a speedo reading at 60 and 100 mph Can't remember the 60 ... but at 100 on the dyno I had 108 on the speedo ... thats 8% error then as standard . So after the 15/44 I adjusted the speedo healer with the calculator they have on their website ... plus I factored in an extra 8% I already knew about . The following week I got a free run on Dave Hammonds dyno to check it out and at 100 mph my speedo now reads 101 mph . Pretty good huh :biggrin1: Now when I rideout with my bud on his R1 ... at 200 miles or so that we usually do on a Sunday session his mileage as always about 17 miles more than mine which sugests about 7.5% error on his bike .
How do you know the dyno wasn't out though? I can't see them being accurate for speed tbh and you have wind and road resistance to factor in. Have you tried it with a gps to compare also? I think a gos would be pretty accurate
Just for info folks I fitted my new rear sprocket tonight (44t +2 from OE) the rear axle is now 2 lines further forward in the swing arm (about 8mm) seems a coincidence that 2 teeth make it 2 lines further forward in the swing arm! if you were to fit -1 front i think it would be more or less where it was as standard
