hi i was just wondering if anyone has experience of the lamba sensor and what to do with it after changing the exhaust do you tie it up or do it away with it
If you don't have a Power commander leave it installed but if you have a power commander and O2 eliminator you don't require it Either remove it and fit a plug in it's place or leave it in but disconnected.
I removed mine on my RR7 as I fitted a set of US spec headers which doesn't have a threaded hole in them Also doesn't have a strangling catalytic converter
I have recently fitted a pcv with the standard euro map. I'm running without the O2 eliminator at the moment as the company that supplied the unit gave me the 2008+ sensor (I won't bore you with the details). So I have a 2008+ O2 eliminator for sale if anyone is interested? Only looking for what it cost me.
Didnt think you could get a power commander 5 for anything earlyer than 2008 as it was released in 2009.
Very true. DynoJet Power Commander V Prices & Applications (3rd from bottom in the Honda column) I think the 04-07 Blade is one of the very few pre 2009 models to get a pcv, which I'm guessing is why there was a mix up with the O2 eliminator. O2 eliminator now sold.
I see ,, yeah makes sense now with the wrong eliminator . Im sure they will sell you the correct 1 and post it out to you.
Yeah that's on 08+ I think though. I think it's a certain CBR600 version that works on 04-07 1000RR models.
Yeah, I think it was the 07-11 CBR600RR (16-001) before Dynojet made an official one for the 04-07 Blade.
Can I just check that what i'm reading here is correct here before I go off and buy 1, so I could deff use a 07-11 cbr6rr PCV on my 06 blade!? I'm just thinking i'm more likely to be able to find a used one if i've got a bigger range to search from!!
Have a quick check on the dynojet website and check the part numbers. There is a full list on there I'm pretty sure the same for all the 4 cylinder cbr of that age
Good find Only thing is would the map For the 600 suit the 1000rr? You can't use pcIII (for the earlier 1000rr) maps on the PCV so I think you would need a custom map done.
No, whatever version of PC you use, you need to install a map for that bike. You can convert PCIII maps to PCV format. I think you can just copy/paste the table values.
Here is the US Dynojet website with all the PCV maps for the 04-07 Blade. Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade 16-022: Powercommander Downloads, Maps, Installation Guides, Accessories and Product Purchases Note: If fitting to a standard bike make sure you select a Euro map. Also there are maps for 04-05 & separate maps for 06-07 models.
