    Great photo, Cheers Barney.

Please excuse the panic stricken face, I thought you were a cop with a speed gun. All I could see on a bend at the end of a long straight in a 30 mph zone is a white van parked up with a guy dressed in dark clothing stood in front of it with some kind of lens pointing directly at me, I shat myself and thought it was a laser gun but turns out it was just your camera which was a relief when Givover told me at the services.

Once again I'm one of the last to do my appraisal of another fine day out (problems changing over computers). Got up at 6.20am and read 4 degrees on the thermometer outside......Jesus Christ! I don't normally venture out unless it's above 14 degrees at least! Set off to meet GaryB at the motorway and almost missed him due to fog. Rattled off down the motorway, teeth chattering and wondering if I'd overslept and was still dreaming. Must be still asleep I thought 'cos I couldn't move any limbs or feel my fingers! No such luck, arrived at Lymm Truckstop to meet up with other idiots ( namely Giv) he was first there. At this point I mentioned to Gary that we needed a serious rethink of our intentions.......turning back was a good option I thought. Glad I didn't 'cos when that sun came up proper and we'd finished with the motorways the day blossomed into an almost perfect rideout.
Met up with the rest of the guys at the Medway Truckstop and set off to Wales. Only fly in the ointment was a bit of damp under the trees on our beloved Crossgates road. Certainly kept our sphincter muscles in good order!
Met some more guys at the coffee stop and took a very interesting route over the mountains....reminded me of the Pyrenees except about 25 degrees cooler! Great scenery and a refreshing change from the normal roads.
This is where we met the redneck. Straight out of the film Deliverance. Frightening sort of a chap......the sort you'd rather not be on your own with!
Anyway, after a photoshoot off we raced again, back to the coffee stop for another breather before heading back home on the Crossgates road. Conditions were a little better and myself, Si and Giv took off like scalded cats with Si leading the way. This was the highlight of the day for me, had a great ride and even managed to get the bike cranked over enough to remove the chicken strips :D
Re-fuelled at the final filling station where we said our farewells to Barney who once again did us proud with his camera skills and created another batch of memorable pics with which to remember possibly our final trip to Wales this year.
    :)

I was going to tap you up for one of Giv', Barn', but I live on a bird sanctuary and the RSPB told me they would sue me for unusual cruelty if I used it on a scarecrow.
