Can anyone recommend me a front stand to be used on an 09 Blade?

I've got an ABBA for the rear but looking on their website I'm guessing their front lifter won't do the Blade as this lifts via the pipes underneath.

    Cheers all

What's wrong with lifting via the pipes? Been doing it for years, never done any damage?

I had the above and did not like it. I was going to suggest a Headstock stand but it does not lift the front enough for the ABBA stand and why I got ride of my Abba stand

Found the headstock stand to be the best I have used

I didn't think (can't remember TBH) the space was available underneath to use the ABBA on the pipes. Many moons ago on my RRN I used a trolley jack on the pipes and that was fine. Thinking about it i'm really after something I can leave the bike jacked up on in the garage and not have tne stand stuck out in the walkway for someone to trip over if you see what I mean?? and something that will work with my ABBA stand. I guess I could go back to a trolley jack as the handle is removable, just that I aint got that anymore so was after something fit for purpose.

I don't think you will do any damage to the pipes to be honest. The Abba stand tends to be only slightly biased to the front of the bike. I just use a scissor jack under the pipes and the weight on it is so little you can wind it up by hand easily.

I have a 954 and an Abba stand and the front lift... the Abba stand is very good but the front lift just does not work on my bike, it can only sit on one pipe as they seems to snake around each other at the point it lifts it up, also when it is lifting it up it is just not stable enough and the handle sticks out, i too am considering my options for a front lift, i do fancy a headstock stand but am not sure which one would fit my bike the best, i have heard they can touch the front fairing etc.

I want to buy a front stand but looking for some help to decide here.

I recently bought one of these but really couldnt get on with it. No matter how much i tightened the nuts on the height adjusters, the left one would always loosen as i tried to raise the bike. I'm sure it was me, but i ended up getting rid of it as it never felt like i was going to get a safe lift. ( Oxford Paddock Stand - front - Machine Mart)

I've stumbled across this one (Motor bike paddock stand front ALLOY acc.f. Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade lift | eBay) which positions under the legs. The looks like it'll more stable - anyone had any experience of this type of stand - are they better?

    cheers

Another vote for the headstock stand. I used to have one that lifted from the fork legs but I didn't feel like it was secure. At least with the headstock stand you know it ain't going anywhere. There's a company in Germany on eBay that sells them. I've bought 3 or 4 paddock stands from them now and they're good quality and a good price.

You should find one to suit. Linky below

Looks decent but i can not find out which one would fit my 954 blade, i know all of them are slightly different and if you buy the wrong one then it just hits the fairings, so i may just stick with a standard Harris stand that lifts from the forks.
