Has anyone fitted a Bazzaz fuel injection thingy to their 08-09-10 Fireblade? What are the effects, is it fitted with a standard exhaust or Akrapovic/Yoshi R77. Any real experience advice would be appreciated
I got mine fitted and put on the Dyno in March during it's first service. It has the traction control and Quick shifter which have both been used in Anger. very happy with the Bazzaz and feels like it's got a lot more mid range grunt and I have the Yoshi R77 can fitted also
I was only looking at the straight fuel injection box rather than the one with TC and QS, been considering a HM quickshifter, probably need to contact HM to see if their QS works with the Bazzaz. Have you got any idea how the Yoshi compares noise wise to the Honda race kit Akrapovic. My biggest issue where I live is there's no place with a dyno so set up would be restricted to standard maps in the unit for whatever pipe, I think the bazzaz has maps for standard and the Yoshi R77
HM Plus is stand alone and your best bet no matter what FI package you choose. I'm not a fan of the Bazzaz and my reasons are too long to list, people buy it as they think mapping 8 injectors over the PCVs 4 is better, even though the Bazzaz does not allow you to directly map the uppers and lowers independently to get the best from your package also they have never show the advantage of doing so on paper when I have asked? (waits for them to pop up like they have so many times before and then half answer questions) anyway if you have a high state of tune and need to map the uppers independently then just buy the secondary fuel module for PCV, Dynojet sell it as an add on not to make money but as its not required unless you have a high state of tune, gas flow, cams, pistons and so on. If I were you I'd buy the HM Plus, PCV and Autotune, load a close map and run the bike, let Autotune map it... If you need to know how it works the search this forum for my explanation or google I've covered it many many times on the net, it's not FULLY automatic so do read up on it... Don't get me wrong about Bazzaz it's a good system and works very well by all means Bazzaz send me one FOC on Eval and I will fully test it, from what I've seen on customers bikes it been nice but IMO not all its cracked up to be marketing wise... Anyway we all have our own tastes...like I say I'm not bashing it just voicing my views... Also when it comes to tuning saving money is never an option....only the pursuit for power....lol
If custom tuning is an issue, there are plenty of EU power commander maps available on the net and from other owners, Bazzaz maps will be a bit more difficult to source.
I haver no idea on the nosie but my Yoshi is 101-103 db without a baffle so not to loud. Re the HM shifter and Bazzaz that would be my choice. But I found out after about the HM unit being as good as they say. So thats a future change, and lots of places you can get Bazzaz maps. trackdays riders is a start as many amateur racers use the Bazzaz
