Well seems as next year I plan on much more track work I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Ohlins TTX rear shock, cost me a small African village but I'm sure it'll pay for itself! Plus resale value is very good!

A very very right decision, i don't have the TTX but i do have the Ohlins rear shock for my 954..... i can not describe what a difference it made to my bike, it was like chalk and cheese. I have only added a few things to my bike, but those things have always a tangible difference to the ride or handling of the bike, i tend to steer away from the bling that most others seem drawn too. You will have to give us a full report when its fitted..... who, by the way is fitting it ? I have KAIS service and fit mine, i would say the fitting and set up are important. Good luck with it.

I have heard bad things about Kais from someone who used to work there.

I have had my forks revalved at reactive suspension and could not praise Gareth enough. His service and knowledge are second to none. He is a one man band so its Gareth who does the work not some spotty teenager in the back. Have a look at his website and his profile he has a wealth of knowledge (BSB experience) and it was his knowledge after speaking with him on the phone that impressed me so much.

He is probably nearer to Grimsby too.

I am sure Grimsby can not be that bad !!! Whomever you get to do it ensure its right for you before you pay, i had mine done and then they insisted i went out to test ride the bike before i paid..... this should be standard practice when your paying that much for a full service and fitting and set up. Good luck and you will not regret it, i can see any future bikes i get having the shocks and even forks replaced with either Ohlins or something as good..... i have also heard that dumping the standard wheels and getting some of those light weight ones can also have a major difference on the ride !!! My wife will kill me.
