    Today Felix Baumgartner is attempting a record-breaking free-fall jump from an unbelievable 23 miles above the earth. If successful, Baumgartner will be the first person to break the speed of sound in free fall. This cinematic animation gives us a realistic sense of what to expect, from take-off to jump -- and all the drama in between. We guarantee you'll get goosebumps at around the two-minute mark.

    I remember as a kid watching Joe Kittenger doing a similar thing and being freaked by the film footage of him standing up from what looked like a normal chair and just stepping off the balloon platform. Being someone who gets a nose bleed on shag carpet, the whole thing gives me a shrinky winky.

    I got some guinness on the chill and will be using the tv as
    my laptop monitor, fingers crossed for good weather.

    so damn lucky.wonder in a few years time will
    joe bloggs get to do things things like this.
    seeing they will have space trips soon why not
    stratos jumps :D
