Well guys the courier brought my 04 blade yesterday, sex on wheels or what,? my question is __ it has the honda hiss system and also a datatool alarm, the bike is kept in a shed with no leccy, as it wont be used every day,(what get it dirty) how do i best keep the battery up, as obviously the alarm is gonna run it down, i have another battery, so had thought about changing them every 2 weeks or take the battery out altogether, and stick it back in before i take her out, would taking the battery out fuk up the datatool memory (does it have one ?) any tips/ideas appreciated, will try and post some pics, the courier who delivered it, said it was one of the cleanest he had seen and he delivers bikes for a living, so i was well pleased, rolls.

I think it was once said on here, anything with data tool on it take a hammer to it.
The light for the Honda hiss goes off after 24hrs non use, and will not illuminate again until the key is turned.
Tbh not really up on alarms, could you not get a 12v leisure battery and link them perhaps?

    Congratulations on the blade btw.
    Mint ain't they :D

The datatool alarm on mine behaves itself (saying which has just put the mockery on that too), but based on the venom for the product on here I live in constant paranoia now of it disconnecting itself from the bike in the middle of the night, creeping into the house, maxxing my credit card on the phone before raping me in my sleep.

God knows how I'd feel if it was on the blink.

    BUT!...

Id love to know if anyone knows if you can increase the time before it self arms...its not long enough for me to open garage wheel it in.
    Thanks for any help

You can completely switch off the alarm so it will only draw a few milliamps by :-

Turning on the ignition with the alarm off
Press and hold both buttons on the fob until you hear a bleep
That will be about 8/10 seconds
The alarm is now fully off

How frigging annoying is that. I use the kill switch when I get home so I can wheel it back into the garage without having to switch off the ignition and disable the trembler switch.
