At the question/answer session with Cal & JT on tuesday I wanted to ask Cal whether he thought that despite not having the factory Ducati ride (& cash) he wanted, if he felt he now has the better machinery to give him a chance of a win for next year. I should point out that he made a lot of points about the factory rides being better, justified in most cases I put my hand up to ask every time but they kept picking people who's questions were either general knowledge or just dumb. Questions asked included: What's your favourite track? all answers were Oulton (as we were there) or Brands (both british tracks) JT, why did you retire? anyone who has a genuine interest knows it was because he snapped his wrist and has little/no movement in it How did it feel to overtake Rossi? He's just another racer to them, a legend yes but thats what they get paid for. (an insulting question, like saying 'you shouldn't be able to do that)
very good to see VR back in the mix, constant podium finisher next year when he is back on the yamaha
Great Manga pic of the riders for this week's GP: Pedrosa, Rossi and Cal had a go at drawing them as well! Hope the Beeb filmed some of it for the pre-race build-up.
I've got an issue with manga. Mainly that I think it's shit, but I have to admit, they've caught the maniac in Crutchlow quite well.
I like that poster a lot. But then I do quite like the art style of Manga and anime. like to find this for sale tbh... Roll on the race!
Bautista confirmed at gresini Honda next year. Apparently signed for 90k euro, not much compared to what the top guys are earning, guess no money left in moto gp anymore!
Just watched an interview with Danny Kent and he too is affecting the royal "we" when talking about himself now. I think I shall have to start doing this, sorry, we will have to start doing this too, so that we can refer to ourselves and our unfeasibly huge ego with the same definitive article.
You are sooooo right . nobbers .......... we this and we that . Perhaps you need a multiple personality disorder to be a Moto GP rider . Well thats what 'we' think .
It's a management thing, I think. If I do something well, my boss can't wait to tell people how good 'we' are. If he fecks something up 'we' need to pull our socks up.
only 2 days before we are off to moto GP at sepang , wife is working for SAG moto2 team so we have all the passes , also i got some passes from alpinestar so we are well sorted . my daughter cant wait to meet Stoner wants to get a pic with him and get some photo's signed , she likes him because he wins she also like marquez she was upset to hear Stoner was retiring but i told her marquez will ride his bike next year she said well marquez will be my favourite now :-}}
Looks like Vinales has spat the dummy. Split from the blusens BQR team and won't ride in the final three races.
Apparently his manager is also the team mgr (!), and he didn't tell him about offers from rival teams when it came to renegotiating his contract with Blusens back in Aragon so understandably he got quite upset when he found out! He must have spent the time since then lining up an offer in Moto2 with another team next year and now that it's signed he's walked on Blusens. Can't say I blame him, but he still had a shout of winning the championship (albeit slim).
