Hey guys , first thread in a while so be kind . I spotted the Ohlins rear shock 08+ bikes on eBay today and its 20 miles up the road from me . Is 650 a good price for a second hand TTX ? Looks mint , guy says its mint Any body purchased second hand lately? What did you pay ?

I just paid short of 1k for a new TTX MK2 HO931 which I am waiting on delivery of so that seems a reasonable price. Was a tie up between this and KTEC unit but I went for the bling. Will be fitting and having setup by a pro in Spring.

Old tech now mate The latest Ohlins has twin tube for better damping (apparently) Like the latest Honda shock . Looks good for the money tho'
Old tech? Don't make me laugh. It's still a million times better than any standard shock, including the Big Piston '12 model. If I was you I'd hang on a few weeks, Race season has pretty much finished and a lot of bigger boys selling 08-11 goodies off to fund new bikes.
That is good advice craig. Dan, I messaged the guy about the shock it has a two springs with it, he doesnt seem to have much info on the spring rates but thats not a great issue. He was happy to do a deal on the shock for £700 with me. However i think im going to look into a Maxton Gp10 or search around Ex Race units as craig says.
Price seems decent enough ..... and as for Old tech.... please ! Quality never goes out of fashion, i have one for my 954, obviously not the TTX but still made a massive difference to the ride and feel of my bike, best mod i think i have ever done to any bike.
NT means the MK2 TTX36, the Mk2 is defo a better shock! TTX36 MkII - Öhlins Go on Dan your a nice bloke you deserve it mate, treat yourself to a brand shiny new one....lol

I've got some shoddy old gold thing in mine, but the stock one was good enough for me pottering to the shops and back....lol Now I'm tempted for a ttx2 and gas carts in my supermoto if I win the lotto...
