Can anyone tell me if this is normal, I don't use car polish because it leaves white residue, so I use pledge, take a look at the edge of the paint line and what looks like polish residue is actually the edge of the sticker rubbing away showing the white below. Should it not be lacquered over the decals? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1350839910.952097.jpg

No mate, the Repsol paint is just one big sticker. The residue is catching on the end of the sticker. Mine does it on my decals, the Fireblade ones on the side panels.
Mine is all black, so proper paintwork, proper job.

Repsol weighs more due to big sticker for the orange, so is inferior to all other blades. :D

yup mines the same as is crap/wax I use left on the stickers. I use a soft brush like a tooth brush to remove the dirt to make it look better

If I run my finger nail in the gap there's no polish residue, I've only ever uses pledge? I would have expected the fairing to be painted not stickers? A little disappointing to say the least.

Try a polish called Ice from Halfords that may help. Or better still have it repainted in HRC colours that way you will go faster and have no white showing .Win Win.

There are plenty of polishes that do not leave white residue, i use Meguires hand polish which is a sort of medium brown colour and leaves zero residue, great for panels with stone chips as the spots don't show up as little white diamonds.

Give it a wipe over with metholated spirit, if its a build upof wax that will remove it.
PS-There seems to be some Repsol envy going on here with your other replies!
