I've been using SBS DC for racing and they are epic. However I've been told by a few people that the std Honda pads are excellent and used by bsb rr etc. I tried them at weekend instead of sbs dc and to be honest the std Honda pads felt better. Good initial bite and pulled up on a sixpence.
Found I was getting some brake fade last track day have standard set up at the min so looking at upgrading things a bit. You running stock calipers with the brembo combo Kev? What about everybody else what set up you running?
Using stock calipers on my 06 blade with a 19 mm Radial PT master cylinde,r race set up braided hose with Brembo HPK T Drive Discs an SC compound pads . EBC HH pads are excellent too . My standard discs did not last long as I warped them .
I'm using stock pads on my 08 and they're really good. I've used Bendix MRR's in the past and they've been good but couldn't comment yet on the Blade.
EBC have a race compound pad for race use only. I have them in the SP1 and they would put you over the bars with 2 fingers. Not cheap but very good. Ill be putting them on the Blade this year.
I run Stock rotors, EBC HH pads, uprated fluid, Goodridge braided hoses. No brake fade and I cn brake with the latest and greatest. One day I'll upgrade but no need now
