It’s been a long day and I am bored to tears with tender work. So if you had a candle lit dinner party who would be your ideal guests and why.

Here's my list to get you started

    The boys:
Stephen Fry - brains and a great sense of humour, can talk knowledgeably about any subject
Michael Palin - would keep everyone entertained with tails of his travels and Monty python
Rab C Nessbit - Funny as F, it would be a riot
Keith Lemon - just to see the girl’s squirm waiting to see what he is going to do and say next

    The girls:
    Ling - of course
Rachel Riley - brains, absolutely nothing to do with her stunning body
Susanna Reid - just because ‘I would’
Debra Messing - Beautiful and funny women and always wears tight clingy tops

Shall we say they have to be alive for this thread?

    Boys:

Stephen Fry - I went to a meal a few years ago where he was a guest speaker and feck he's funny. Like him on TV but in real life he's even funnier and knowledgeable
    Valentino Rossi - GOAT
Michael Schumacher - Hated him at first and since he's come back and even though he's not done well I am really impressed and he can ride also
Kpone - hoping to find out he's not a internet Hero and axe murderer
stephen hawking - what a mind the guys got. and loving the american voice ;)

    The Women:
The Queen - Because she's lived her life for the people, always in the media and I would love to find out what she was really like.
VBH - Dirty girl and I like her. Loves car's and bikes and can drive or ride well.
Emma Stone - Sexy, red, and very very HOT
Pollyanna woodwood - loves gadgets, cleaver and hot. Ding Dong

Do you know what Ash, in the right light, with less hair and muscles and that could be me. Ling used to have the hots for Danial Craig but of had moved her affections towards Andy Whitfield (of Spartacus, Blood and Sand fame) who funny enough also looks like me but with more hair and muscles. She was quite shocked and upset when she found out he died of non hodgkin lymphoma last year.

I don't like dinner parties, not my kind of gig at all. My missus loves them but lives in constant fear during them that I might drown my displeasure in drink and start to get "honest" with guests.

Apart from the company of you, my august peers of 1000rr.co.uk, (of course) I'd like to get the chance to rap with some of the real monsters of the world. The Charles Mansons, the Kim Jong ils, the Givovers. Just so I could ask them "Honestly, what the f**k were you thinking?"

But no. Jeanette just want to ask parish councillor and local am drammers, so we'll never know.

I've been thinking about this off and on and I'm starting to get a bit of handle on it now.

Absolutely at the top of the list, right from Freedom's first post was Richard Feynman. Off the the back of that I'd love to see him deep in conversation with Leonardo da Vinci. From the effect on me as a small boy watching him interviewed on Parkinson, I'd like Jacob Brownowski acting as referee between them. I'd want Tom Waits sat beside me listening in and giving me his spin on the conversation. On the other side of me I'd like Jonny Wilkinson. Not a great conversationist but I do owe that boy dinner at the very least for the entertainment he's given me over the years.

Still a work in progress, but its coming together.

Not at all mate. I don't like entertaining generally so if I have to make the effort it's got to be worth my while.
