I would suggest that deliberate crime cases should be televised. Road crashes are accidents.

Not called accidents anymore, they are called Road traffic collisions on the basis that every crash has a cause, whereas an accident is defined as being beyond the control of an individual

everything in the world has a cause if you think about it.I think changing the name from accident to collision is some
brainstormer behind a desk trying to justify their job.I agree with JM1, it should be serious crime shown over traffic accidents.
but then serious crime takes effort to solve and with an average of two out of three crimes going unsolved according to recent
news reports maybe they would have more cases ending in no action unlike easy prosecutable road offences.Dont want
to make them look like they arent doing a good job.

So its ok if you accidentally forgot to pay attention and caused a fatality, which is obviously unplanned.

I agree, after watching the repercussions of the event it would make me think about the ones that care and whether its worth twisting the throttle that little bit more on a public road. It will also make people realise the fatality carries on for many years to come and not stop after the clear up.

If you read the full article, the Judge is referring to just the summing up and/or sentencing being televised, not the full trial

I didn't say it was ok, just that it was still an accident.
