Do any of you guys have any experience with Bell Helmets? I seen 1 last week in a really nice retro style and I quite fancy it for when on the SP. I'm going to be in Preston tomorrow where I seen it, and possibly pick it up if it is decent enough. Here's a link to it Bell M5X Daytona DY2 White / Red Motorcycle Helmet Crash Lid Motorbike
Stocked them for a while but sold like dog 5h1t, seemed good quality but an acquired fit. Just a brand that didn't work for us.
Been around for longer than me. Were a lot of them around when I was just a wee tacker. Invented the full face helmet i believe, championed by Evel Knieval I also believe. I've got one for my push bike but I'm banned from that so it hangs on a nail in the shed. But they were once a byword for quality and innovation.
I had a Bell Star helmet when I was 16! They were the rolls Royce of helmets back in the day. I really like the design of the current helmets but have never tried one on.
I guess I'll just need to try 1 on then and see how it feels. I have a shoei shaped head and find it hard to get anything else comfortable on me. Looks good though
I have a XR1100 at the moment mate and will be getting another. I'll keep you in mind for next season, I just fancied something to suit the SP
I'm due a new lid, seen the carbon Bell that they do that looks cool. Have a Arai and Shoei, but do fancy trying something different as all the current schemes I've seen that i like are stupid money.
Yup my first crash hat was a Bell . Think it was cork liner ( or was it crushed dinosaur eggs ) before they invented polystyrene
The carbon version does look good in the flesh also. The different models do have a different fit to each other, with some being narrow like a agv and some more like a shoei.
