After seeing Flatstick's handy work with the carbon wrap i had a rummage and found just enough silver carbon wrap to make a bit of scratch protection for my rear sets Check em out upload pngpng upload gif
Looks very nice, I can see peeps covering all their bling with that stuff. I wish Honda did something to protect the swinginarm, mines getting battered, and being as its Black it stands out quite badly, BMW have a nifty heel protector on theirs
Cheers Mate , There has got to be some thing out there to protect your swinger, 1 of the reasons i chose my bike was for its silver swing arm as my last bike had a black 1 and done the same as yours , got marked and stood out a mile
LOL, my last bike also had a black swinginarm...........guess I dont learn, I've resorted to using strips of electrical tape in the vain hope my boots wont rub through to the pain work I'm going to write a strongly worded letter to Honda HQ, telling them to pull their fingers out..lol
Maybe we should complie a wish list we would want on the new Blade. I'll start with * Heel protectors * Gear indicator
My Last bike ZZR1400 had a petrol Gauge .Only problem, it was like riding fuckin Concord you could see the mother drinkin the stuff !
Mate of mine had one of them, parked next to his stretched 'busa it was the same bloody size! I quite fancied some of that Ally weave mesh stuff, then I saw it was 12 quid for an A5 sheet, and I'm left handed so I'm bound to bugger up the first cut. Sod that, I'll draw the lines on with a sharpie. LOL
Not really a big fan of carbon mate, I'm sure that would wear through in a short period of time as well
Nowt wrong with the build quality mate, no one makes paint that wont rub off if boots are scraped along them Didnt Kawasaki recall all their ZX10R's Isnt BMW having big issues with gear boxes My mates brand new Aprilia RSV4 aprc has gone into limp mode after doing less than 800 miles So give me a Honda any day
I washed mine today as it was proper minging and took it to the bike meet to dry it off. Had a little play about on the way home wih my mate and when I wiped it down again I noticed a stonechip on the mudguard and 2 or 3 beauty's on the side fairing. They weren't there when I washed it so happen on the way home Not much you can do about it really!
God I hate that. Any stone chip on the white of my fairing shows the black plastic underneath. At first I thought it was tar spots. The guys who had it before me must have never taken it out cos in three months I've about half a dozen black skidmarks on it and there was only one when I bought it. I'm thinking of taking it to a bodyshop and getting them to sort all of them then Venture shielding the whole front.
