After reading our local paper about the towns big fire work display I am really pissed off! Not only does it go on about how generous our mayor is and the display he is putting on for us........hang on a minute are you telling me he is paying for them and it has nothing to do with the flucking £196 p/m i hand over for your rediculously priced council tax?!?!?! How generous of you Mr mayor! Oh hang what's that? Oh you are going to charge me £15 per adult and £9 per child Hang on though my children are young 1 is 2 years and 1 is 9months, yes we will still rob you of £9 for each of them too! What a generous man!
Snap mate! I moved from Fishponds in January 07. Now live in Quedgeley going to see the Fireworks at Glos Quays tonight.
I will prob just use the money for some home ones until the kids are older and just try not to set myself on fire or blow myself up
Jeanette kicked off big time over the amount I spent on fireworks one year so I video'd them then the year after invited family around and ran the tape. I then explained to everyone that she was too tight to let me buy the real thing and the problem went away. As I've aged and......matured I do find myself wondering how unlicensed explosives can be sold to an untrained and, face it, largely stupid public.
Well I took the family 20miles up the road to a free show they do however ask for donations at the end if you wish too, I donated the same amount as it would of cost to go to our show (out of spite)
