Hey folks, First off sorry about the long post but my original plans for a new bike didn’t exactly go to plan (does anything), After having a shot of ColinBr's Blade I was all for getting an 08+ unit and had started looking for one that I liked but had trouble finding the colours I wanted (wanted black on black or black on candy red), or one the bank manager would agree to! Anyway during a run out with Colin n his better half we took a detour from our normal haunts and ended up goin round in circles in Edinburgh's city centre trying to get ourselves to Saltire Motorcycles to meet up with daversv4r where we got talking about the GSXR750 amongst other things, anyway within the next week I had got myself booked in for a test ride on a 750 and even on the damp roads found the bike to have a similar feel of torque to punch out of corners which I had liked from the blade. So after spending what seemed like an endless amount of hours on autotrader, ebay and google I had tracked down a couple of 750's that I liked and Colin and me drove a 360 mile round trip to go look at them and see what sorta deal I could manage to get trading my SV in for a GSXR. With a deal all but done and a deposit left, a mad dash was then undertaken to remove all the accessories I wanted off the SV as well as respraying the nose cone due to stone chip damage and a couple of other blemishes caused by previous owner. Anyway one week on, Colin and I head off down the motorway in temps barely registering in the positive numbers to go pick up my new steed. Even feeling/looking like the Michelin man with multiple layers on it didn’t take long before I had lost almost all feeling in my hands (Colin had toasty fingers after I sorted the heated grips on the blackbird the night before!) anyway finally got to the dealer and I swapped the two bikes in the pics over. Hopefully you haven’t fell asleep going through all that.
Looks nice mate, think Black is def beat colour for those - and never met a chap that's had a sevenfiddy and didn't love it! Enjoy.....
I wanted a 750 but got a chance to get the Blade and went with it... Love the 750!!! Looks great in black!!!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz who? what? where? Oh Suzuki zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I like it looks real good in that colour and wheels really stand out
Cheers for the comments folks, Not really had much time out on the bike besides the 180 miles of motorway riding and a wee 30 mile scoot down a local road we use all the time to feel the diference to the SV. All in all really happy with the bike but due to the weather/gritters being out on force up here she's resting up in the garage till spring! Then she will be back out for the scottish tour in 2013!
only joking i was going to get one think they look good that looks a clean bike mate but glad i got the blade though
