    EDIT: Sorry the text dissapeared...

I managed to get a crack on the front fairing when i was chainging windscreen today.
Its about 4cm and hardly visable. It cracked by the screwhole.

Is there any simple fix you can recommend that dosnt require taking the fairing off or repaint afterwards?
I just dont want it to get worse when i take it out for a spin... =/

Feel stupid.. but it was a misstake bah =/

Nightmare - my guess is no, but perhaps a washer and some car body repair material - perhaps take good photo of both sides and send to a fairing repair place and see what they can do?

I think they tend to repair a crack in plastics and fibreglass by firstly drilling a hole at the start and end of the crack as this stops it being able to continue any further. As for the rest of the repair I don't know how much it would cost it maybe cheaper just to order a new nose

Welcome to the cracked nose cone club
These blades have the poorest quality
Plastic of all the modern bikes imo.
It you can use good glue to hold it
That's what I have done with mine .

I dropped my RRN years ago and managed to put two small cracks in the fairing, I drilled a small hole at the ends of the cracks and 20,000 miles later when I sold it the cracks had not spread.

Yep, I didnt spot the crack on my rr8 nose cone until I got it home. Really pissed me off as I went over the bike in such detail too.....anyway I tried to repair with superglue and whilst not perfect it held fine for another 10k miles. My advice though would be just live with it as you'll never really hide it well, particularly in black, and will always look worse than that hairline crack.

Front fairings come up on eBay for around £100. Keep your eyes peeled, but if it really bothers you they're like £200 RRP.

Ok, but i dont think i want to drill a hole there =(
Ill just live with it and get a new one if it becomes worse (i expect it will)
What kind of glue should i use on the inside? Any ideas?

I picked up a front nose cone for £90 on the evil bay mate. So it shouldn't be too expensive a repair if you do want to replace.

As for glue I'd use a 'little' superglue on a fine tipped paint brush (like the ones used for painting model kits) and add layers to the rear of the crack.
