just what he said after malaysia when catching george in the rain"i love the wet i was catching george an then maybe pushed 4 the win" speil or team player what you think shane?
Stoner rides to win , its that simple realistically the championship is over lorenzo has to crash or bike break down to loose it from here so Stoner run his own race as he always does
Things have to change fast ,This was the most boring shite you could ever watch .Roll on next season for the BSB..
I often get in trouble for suggesting that motogp is boring; how very dare you! I watch the likes of Danni, JL, Stoner, especially is the slow motion shots & think they are incredible. From a spectators viewpoint however, I think the current format can make for a boring race. To me, we have the same "aliens" providing an exhibition at the front while futher down the field there can be some good racing where riders are fighting for postion. I'm a die hard racing fan, but something has to change.
Only my thoughts but seems if Dani had the chance with Stoner out he did well. held back until he knew he could wipe the floor with George but yesterday just felt ( to me) that under pressure he cannot win or do well. Dani I mean. Again lost out and I feel he will be a "almost a champ, but will miss out every time", type of rider. Well done to george, he rode well, was lucky and did what it took at the start of the season to not push to hard at the end. Still don't like the guy
It's starting to look like a track day. A lurch to the first bend to sort out who's going to get a bit of elbow room then a parade to the finish. The CRT bikes just blend into one amorphous blur of also rans and if you're lucky you might get a bit of overtaking action between 6th and 10th just for face saving purposes. It's like a very fast carnival parade, or something even more monotonous, like Formula one. For a while now I've been thinking that what motorsport needs is a new class. Something truly unlimited, where you can fit whatever you possibly can to a vehicle as long as you can keep it on the ground. Like the reverse of pylon racing. Then if a manufacturer starts to whinge that they can't afford to compete then they can sod off back to F1 or MotoGP. A bit like Group B was but with proper crowd control and indemnity waivers for the competitors. Ground effect fans and multi wheels and allsorts of innovation without some corporate lawyer kicking off that an exhaust manifold is half a millimetre too wide. Group B was was a killer, true, but keep it away from the Mediterranean and it would have trundled on for years. Plus, in it's short life, look at the hand me downs we, the motorists, benefited from technology wise. After burners and knee pad castors. That would liven up my Sunday afternoon.
Porb with the unlimited class and safety and mostly money. Why could they have not classed the CRT's as a Moto GP 1 and race with the prototypes. Would be better than having them hugly outclassed and pissing off people like Stoner and Rossi who ffrom what I have read feel Dorna will bugger up the class
Ken do you mean like a cross between the old Formula Extreme and early Macau where Suzuki 7/11s battled with 2 stroke GP bikes.
Anything mate. Bikes being dragged by wild dogs if it makes them faster, like Wacky Races. I choose for my inspiration, this.
Sorry mate I think you forgot to add the inspiration in that clip. No guns, no after burners, just a bunch of boring yanks waffling.
Moto Gp Valencia ============= So who's looking forward to this. Rossis last Ducati race, Stoner last race, who wants the win? Stoner George or Dani? as it's got to be then 99% sure of it lets hope it's not a boring race
Great photo by one of Rossi's X-Factor photography contestants... Looks like he's riding that Duke so hard it's grinding into the tarmac! Really wanna see him doing the same to the Yam next year.
Really...I thought the keystone cops start was amusing, then the usual suspects began throwing their bikes down the road, then Mr "I don't really want to be here. It's cold and wet and I was hoping to get off early" was made aware that there was a potential podium finish and suddenly decided to fulfil his contract after all. I'm gonna need more to stay convinced, I think.
Best race in ages, but it took borderline weather conditions to produce it. Loved the chaos at the start, and the wobbles Pedrosa and Cal had setting off from the pitlane on slicks! Thought Ellison rode well and deserves to stay in MotoGP (although don't think he's got a ride next year, has he??) Like the blind optimism that us fans of mediocre-at-best footie teams experience, I'm hopeful for next season even if the indicators are that it will be a bit better, but not by much. It could well be a stonker to prove everyone wrong. Let's bloody hope so! Marquez's heroic ride yesterday bodes well, and we're all looking at the testing tomorrow and Weds to see how Rossi gets on going back to his ex. Even though George won the championship through consistency, he must be more than a bit worried that he hasn't won a race in a good while and Pedrosa was closing in on him at a rate of knots before George jumped off yesterday. He will be hoping for a massive upgrade tomorrow but if he doesn't get it then 26+93 will have the psychological advantage come March.
