Carol Nash are great for customer service I have found.

MCE should be avoided AT ALL COST, they may be the cheapest but you pay for what you get and they lie through their teeth.

I've recently had to claim through Bennetts and have to say that they were quick and efficient. 4th Dimension collected the bike and left me an initial survey of the damage. They even sent my tool roll and tax disc back to me when it was declared a write off. I got a phone call from the loss adjuster telling me how clean the bike was and how he was going to recommend the full insured value be paid out just to put my mind at ease. I was even lucky when I phoned them to insure the FireBlade as I got a geezer on the phone who had just claimed for his GXR after a similar accident to mine.

I know Bennetts have got their detractors, and I'm sure they're justified, but speak as I find, they, so far have been pretty good with me. The only downside was that Equity Red Star, the underwriters, wouldn't let me transfer the cover from the Ducati to the Honda so I had to reinsure and they wouldn't let me keep my PNCB, but that wasn't Bennetts fault and the guy did try for me.

I also claimed throu bents a few years ago and i had the full amount for my bike and a hefty compensation payout for my injuries and loss of earnings .

The only reason im not with bents for the blade is that they cant insure me until i am 30 years old. All my other bikes however are insured by a Bennets multi bike policy

Do you Bike Jockeys ever tell them about mods/Cans ect and if the answer is no and you have suffered a write off what happens with the Engineers report!

I found mce pretty when it came to claiming

The policy was crap though. No leather and helmet cover. No courtesy bike and an excess to bring a tear to the eye!

I haven't had an offer from the insurance co yet but I will be pushing for list price less the excess.

I'll let you know how I get on.

I'm with Chaucer through H&R Insurance. I'm dealing direct with Chaucer for the claim.

Had various insurers but have found Carole Nash to have superb cust service (not had to claim from them though) and good inclusions such free UK & European breakdown cover, which is worth the difference between some of the cheaper quotes in itself usually.

One to avoid is Bennetts - I let a policy lapse and found out they had hit my debit card for the full amount of a new policy on the renewal date, without my authorisation. They claimed they had sent me a renewal letter which stated that I was to ring them and let them know I didn't want to take another policy out!! As if!

Had to make several calls to them to get them to refund. Got lied to and was about to resort to the card issuer for resolution when they finally paid the full amount back (2 months later).

I hate using companies that use underhand tactics like that. Won't be using Bennetts ever again.

Insurance Moan. Just got my renewal today from Carole Nash how doe's £609.22 grab you for 11years no claims ? Bike is garaged in a decent area Garage is alarmed .They also want £54.98 to renew the Helmet and leathers. This is also on top of extras i have paid because i swopped bikes mid term x2 which is ok because thats what i wanted to do ,however it all adds up to a tidy fee per year .Will have to change as i had an R1 in 2006 which was only about £425.00 ,Any suggestions?

Yeah, sack it off... that's extortionate.

I pay £400. i was due to have 4 yrs no claims, but being the knob i am, swapped it over 3 days before mine was due...they knocked it down to 3 yrs no claims...(didn't realise) so cost me another £18.

Fully comp, and garaged (through the winter) 2 miles away.
Cheshire here too, but comes under Liverpool postcode, so i get hammered.

I'm also with Swinton bikes and i'm also glad to report i've had no need to contact or claim from them.
I can't remember what I paid, but they were quite a lot cheaper than anyone else

No i don't think so .i can understand Cheshire /Liverpool being a slight issue but i would think Warrington /Birchwood would not be the biggest baddest area to get a quote.I think they have got to cosy so i will give Swinton a try after all what more can you do 11years plus all the swops i have done mid term allways had big bikes er not a youngster but have a mental age of one lol.

Result. Swinton insurance fully comp for £349.62 and £30.00 cash back in 3months. Also for the first time ever i told them about the Yoshi and its all good. Post note i also for the first time not had an Alarm as i am sick of forking out 400 sheets then at trade in having no value back but again the dude saays everythings fine as its only £30.00 more if you don't have one and the Honda Hiss System is approved by Thatham.
