Children In Need. Just watching this programme and very humbled by the bravery of these children and the effort that the fund raisers have gone to. I have an idea which I'd like you to consider. I have a few items remaining for sale from my 2011 Blade and I'm prepared to 'sell' to anyone who would donate some money to Children In Need. No price set on the items, just give what you can direct to the Charity, I'll pay the postage. These are the items: Genuine HRC seat cowl, excellent condition. Genuine Honda HRC Rear Hugger, only marks are where the hugger attaches to the bike, they aren't visible when it's on the bike. Pair of Honda wing mirrors (minus lenses), very slight graze on corner of RH mirror, bit of gentle work with some wet n' dry will sort it. LH unused. One unused R&G Crash bung (complete) Did have a pair of Pazzo levers but they have just been sold to a forum member for £50 and I will donate that too. I've been blessed with two healthy children and two beautiful and equally healthy Grandchildren, got to do something to help. If you pm me with an offer I'll post up the names of the guys who were kind enough to buy the items for a good cause. It's not an auction, first offer secures, but I know our guys will be fair, and I'm not in the least bothered if you sell it on and make a profit. Admin, I hope I'm not doing anything against forum rules, if I am please remove and I'll find another way. JD
JD you're to be commended for your generosity. Heard on the radio today that BBC Radio Ulster auctioned a pillion ride at the Ulster GP for the Pudsey appeal, don't know who with or how much it fetched but an interesting prize.
Let's hope it raised a tidy sum mate, great to know the biking fraternity supports such a worthy cause.
JD, cap doffed mate. Some on here already know my youngest had a major brain tumour issue which is still on going and could rear its vile ugly head at any moment. I always chuck money at this cause because the less fortunate don’t have Bupa or parents that can afford the care and support they need. Respect JD.
Thanks Freedom, I wasn't aware of that, all I can do is offer my very best wishes for a full recovery for your son. I often wonder how the hell I could cope if anything similar happened to mine.
jd what a bloody nice thing to do mate. the world needs more like you (and most of this forum) around. commended sir!
Fair play to you mate and well done for doing so. If I had that model of fireblade I would`ve put in a bid or two
Thanks guys, the good news is that there will be another £80 for Children in need as Jollygiant is buying the hugger and will donate the money directly to them, nice one James. So that's £130 so far, hoping the other bits will go too.
your gentleman jd for doing that for children in need, and freedom wish your son a full and speedy recovery!
