If dunlop say that the SportSmarts can run lower rear tyre pressures for advanced grip on track should i run the same lower pressure on the road?

Any body have sportsmarts and know the ideal pressures for road riding ?

Im getting confused with all the different answers im finding online

Track and road pressures are worlds apart mate, it would run standard pressure then see how they feel

I used roadsmarts on the road.

They felt horrid at 36f 42r so ran them at 34f 38r was much better.

Lots of my mates run 42 rear, I hate it, they all seem to like it though.

Should go and try it, but lowering the pressures has what effect? Always ran 36 42 on all my bikes just as it was standard for the tyres. Wouldn't lowering the pressures cause them to wear more?

+1, I found 42 wears the centre of the tyre out

I find lower pressures are best.

Try 34f 38r, leave it for 100 miles and if you don't like it revert back to standard pressures.

Now not heard them say you can run lower pressures on track with the sportsmart. which I have on my blade now. but they do for the dunlop d211 ntec which mates do run at 19PSi cold at races

I run 34/36 fast road when warm. 36/38 now for touring. And was informed by the tyre guy who know's his stuff at focused events trackdays after checking the tyre pressure on my blade before and after a session to run 28-29 front cold and 31 rear. when i did this they felt much better.

As said already I find 36/42 way to heard for road. 24/36 for summer use feel much better for me

from what I read they doi to a agree but some so extreme as the DP211

Also from what I read you get much more lift from the Sportsmarts compared to the GP211 but the 211 have much more grip and as said can be used with a much lower tyre pressure

I'm loving my sportsmart's at the moment, great on track last long and better than anything I have used in the past

I run standard road pressures - 2psi. Only difference for me is they warm up quicker.
