Do many members do any cycling? I did the Manchester 100 mile ride in September and I'm planning on doing it again next year.

I do a little on a mountain bike, when the wife is working I'll nip off for 20 odd mile, fun and fitness only though!

Now bardo, funnily enough I've just bought a focus Cayo 3 105 , never really rode a cycle for over 35 yrs but I'm using it to get to work 9 miles each way. I'm loving it to be honest mainly to keep fit and it is addictive:) don't get me started about car drivers either! I've nearly had it on 3 occasions already .

Just sold my Claud Butler through lack of use, I blame the Blade for that .Had a Merlin for a few years that I did use alot.London to Brighton twice plus the odd treks out and trips to the shops where I used to live. That got stolen,my son left a crap lock on it. I now test ride one of the old bikes in the shop for when I nip down the town.It gets me in and out of the town before I've found a parking slot in the car.Good things to have.

Ouch!! I thought London to Brighton was a killer. That is twice L to B.
I can say that I conquered Ditchling beacon without stopping.Saved all my energy for that.

Hi Gums, try to get out about 3 times a week usually 2 mid week rides of up to 20 miles (I work 6/2 so plenty of time) and if not out on the Blade at the weekend I try and do a good 30 plus.

Car drivers are bad Tony but buses are unreal, I'm at the point now where I watch everything that moves no matter how fast or slow. 18 miles a day, everyday? Nice one matey, much respect!!!

Hey matt there's nowt wrong with swimming, me and the wife did it twice a week for a year swam 1 mile each time so 2 miles a week and its a superb overall exercise . In the end I got bored a bit and kept getting ear infections so dropped out. Keep it up if you can. :)

Bloody hell, 300 miles a week? It would kill me! Took me 2 weeks to get over the 100 Manchester ride.

    Hi All,
I'm a keen Mountain biker, usually ride twice a week, and only use the road bike for winter training and sitting on the rollers in the garage...
Try and get to Wales a couple of times a year on the MB and I've done a few charity rides 80-100 miles always a good laugh if there's a few of you..

Sounds like we need to get a 1000rr bike team together!

    Ozz.
