Frank Sinatra, nice n easy, on musical fidelity sound lab, a glass of merlot and its raining outside. bliss. miles Davis, kind of blue next......
Never really got on with Sinatra, I'm more of a Matt Monro fan. Always worked for me when entertaining a woman. Cook her a meal, glass or three of Sauvignon Blanc and Matt crooning away in the background. And yes, it also comes via my Musical Fidelity sound amps. Then maybe some Nina Simone to follow......
And there was always a chance he might be driving her bus home in the evening too Steve. Liking your style the Si. My own criterion for liking music is that it must be good, nothing more. I do like a bit of ol' blue eyes and Matt Munro's 'Days Like These' is sublime, even his lousy Italian accent, but Miles Davis......bring it.
Chet baker, dean Martin, Coltrane, Mingus, herbie Hancock, and some retro acid lounge, like st germain. Class tunes! You tried Arne Domnerus( jazz at the pawnshop)? Fab Steve. Just got the rest of the house wireless streamed, using airport express. £30 a room plus amps, s/h for the airports, off eBay... Valve amps ore too expensive to run for long periods, 500w class A each! Sod that...... Nina Simone, a man with taste!
I'm afraid I'm not much of a HiFi anorak so I'm no help. I've got a Bose sound system in my car. Is that good? I saw Nina Simone shortly before she passed. She was so drunk she had to be helped to and from the stage. Proper blues songstress.
Jeez - that is one smooooooth operator! Lock up your daughters fellas lol The force is strong with this one
Omg , , , , I think this is a bit before my time , I take it all those people are dead ? Is it just music your listening too ? Or is it a karaoke version

Philistine! The core of good music maaaan! Suppose you dont like Pachelbel either?? Canon in d minor mate... You've heard it....the crescendo is spine tinglengly fantastic.
Dave you're missing out man, jazz isn't all about singing out of tune. You try some Thievery Corporation, Marc Antoine, St. Germaine or even Jamiroquai. Don't know any other genre of music that has the desired effect on the laydees
Oh the cat in the hat...extremely underrated funky dude. Terrific jazz funk, dismissed because it was mainstream and because he can be a bit of a prat...Nice bloke though as long as you're talking to him about cars.
