    Hi,

Anyone here got the xr1100 lid?

Is it light and quite inside?

Also what is the outward view like once on?

    Thanks
    Sam

I've got one. Fantastic lid and excellent visibility with the larger visor aperture.

Noise levels are excellent, particularly with the optional whisper strip neck curtain which is a godsend at motorway speeds, as is the rear spoiler which does a great job of holding your head still from the wind buffetting.

My brothers got one they are great lids, it's got the larger visor so great vision, only downside visor won't fit in most visor bags

I have one in black and its an excellent helmet , It has fallen of my bike a couple of times and when picking it up
Was expecting to see a big chip but not marked so it gets my vote.

I have one, the best upgrade over the old xr1000 is the bigger visor/pinlock insert combo. It does not get in the way of your view even when looking in the distant horizon or at the sides. It can get noisy if you have all the vents open but its handy on the hot days and just wear ear plugs.
I usually just have the front vents open and no plugs and the sound is fine to me. Its comfy to wear all day no problem but fit varies for everyone

I have a shoei and had many of them for years, best helmets in my opinion. I realy like Arai's but they don't seem to fit my head like shoei's do, I think you'll find other peeps have the same problems and vice versa.

I like mine a lot. The quality is excellent. The visor and liner go in and out quickly and securely. The pinloc is mustard. It's noisy but I wear earplugs. The aperture is big and only just bested by the Nexx full face which will be my next helmet.

Personally I have a tinted anti fog pin lock in mine and it's more than good enough at doing both jobs.

I have got XR1000, and Simpson RX (see pic)..I would say that the Simpson is a quiter lid (wear ear plugs with both)

The XR has much best vision, but the Simpson is pure pose!

Looking to buy XR1100, next year, and have been looking on some of the American sites/dealers,a lot more colour choices (they call it the RF) so considering importing one, a bit cheaper too, even when adding shipping etc.

    But a good choice..
