So much for buying from a dealer for that comfort factor. The dealer I purchased my RC8 from has gone bump. There's my warranty gone. I have called KTM UK to see what the situation is but the guy I need to talk to has gone home. I will keep you posted.
I would be certain that your outstanding warranty would be covered by KTM for the 1st two years ,however if the bike is out of warranty and you have the standard sixmonths from the shop then it may be more difficult .You have to look at it this way if its a six month warranty and you have had the bike one month then you only have five months to worry about and four of these will be frosted off so the risk is only one month and then it is out of warranty anyway .Hopefully its a newish bike and is covered .
It's just over two years old and had a three month warranty from the supplying dealer. I'm going to see how helpfull KTM UK can be.
Helpful, ktm, uk lmao Sorry Steve what I mean to say is hope it all goes your way or if not i hope you have trouble free riding from it at least
Oh dear, but presumably you dont have any problem that needs sorting yet ? If you are just worried in case something happens in the next three months maybe you are worrying un necessarily?
Looks similar than what i said 3 months minus how long you have had it = +the bad weather means even if the shop was open it would soon be out of warranty .I think you may be better accepting that for all of us sooner or later the time comes .Dont let it spoil your weekend dude as its out of your hands .
Yeah, it's no major hastle. Just feel a bit cheated I've not got the warranty having gone to the trouble of buying from a dealer.
Bike is going great. Had a freezing run out this morning and loved it. Here are a few photos.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/hvs53dj22ubvvv9/2012-12-01 13.51.54.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/vxfgkgo4y8nhc08/2012-12-01 13.52.10.jpg
Credit where credit is due Steve. That bike looks mean. What is it about V sport bikes that's so intimidating, even when you can't see the engine.
Cheers Ken! She is a bit of a handful until you dial into the riding style that's for sure. Throttle response is pretty savage but very engaging! Riding round slow roundabouts in the wet and cold takes concentration!
Yes mate. Looking at a complete scheme in vinyl wrap at the moment. I think I am having the wheels done orange too.
Sounds good mate, I think just the orange tape on the black wheels will look just as good too as there is alot of orange in the body already plus alot cheaper
