i have recently purchased an optimate 4 battery charger for use with a 2008 cbr1000rr but am finding it frustrating to have to continually take the seat unit off to attach it, and then refit the seat unit after use. Is there an attachment available [a lead you fit to the battery terminals and leave attached] that elliminates the need to remove the seat to attach the optimate to the battery? would like to regularly hook the bike up to the optimiser without the inconvenience currently involved.
Normally come with it, guess you have the crock clips on a fly lead that plugs into the optimate lead, eBay mate.. five quid.
TM-71 Weatherproof Eyelet Lead for AccuMate & OptiMate Wish they did come with it. I tried almost every supplier in 15 miles to get mine. Twice.
I ordered mine directly from Accumate. It came with the croc clip one but no permanent wired one. Foolishly I thought no need to order one, there's half a dozen main dealers in Exeter, someone's bound to have them. Took me half a day trawling them to find one that did. That one went with the 750 and I had to go through the whole process again with the blade.
Here's what you need; Optimate 3 4 Dual Program Accumate Charger Waterproof Battery Connector Lead 12v | eBay Here's mine plugged in;
Yep come supplied with both the croc clip cable and the one you attach to the battery, or at least they do now for sure.
Another one here that came with both leads. I bought a second one on eBay so I can have one attached to the Ducati, plus the Blade. Then its just simply a case of unplugging and plugging into the other/swap them round. 5 second job.
as like others mine came with the lead so it's just clip off the plastic cover under the seat and connect the lead up.
