My Insurance company MCE rang me yesterday to say I am down for a pillion lap at Donnington BSB this saturday at 1pm. Looking fwd to it.

Here is a club MCE member on the back of Howie Mainwaring at the last round at Cadwell.

Will keep you all posted how it go's.

A pillion ride doesn't make their incompetent staff, poor policy documentation and terrible customer service any eaiser to swallow.

I'm not saying it is, but the post almost reads like a marketing excercise. They've probably been googling their name and seeing some of the bad press they have been getting on here.

Mamola was selling rides up the hill for charity at the Festival of Speed a couple of years ago. It was Lord March's daughter's birthday and the old man bought one for her as a present, then he told Mamola to do as much of it as possible on the back wheel. You could hear her screaming from the grandstand.

Pillion over the mountain takes balls, I would rather Donny any day.

as for MCE, heard countless bad stories about there customer care, I wouldnt buy a policy from them, but I guess lots of peeps do

It was the same for me £300 cheaper than anyone else, except they had put a load of security on the bike which I don't have.

When I looked at my docs I gave them a call to remove all the stuff they had put on and they said they counldnt insure me and I couldnt have a refund, they then said I could minus £60... in the end after they had ALL my money for 2 months I went to MCN and I got a full refund the same day.

Im paying 240 now with MCE . The second best quote i had was 545 Comprehensive so it was worth the hassle to keep the MCE policy.

all my other road worthy bikes are under a multi bike policy with Benetts but for the blade they wont insure me till i turn 30 so i got a year to go
