As the title says i am just about to fit a yoshi carbon slip on not full system to a 2009 cbr with standard air filter,i have heard different opinions on this does the bike need remapping etc when fitting one of these. Or should i get it on a dyno to check it or has anyone done this already. I know Yoshi say you dont need to remap but as arthur says in another post they will tell you anything to sell a product. Cheers.
Like I said mate, some are fussed and others get along just fine.. The AFR will not be wildly out so no harm would be done... Suck it and see mate, you can always map it etc later on...
I suppose a dyno is the real answer I will just have to be well out of the way when they do it ,when I was at oulton park last I heard one been done it sounded horrible . Cheers Arthur will see how I get on with it, I think it was only £25 for the dyno at oulton park so worth doing for that price .
Yep me too. Fitted an R77 first and thought the fuelling was a bit fluffy low down in the range so I took my 09 to Motrac in Ellesmere Port for a PCV, O2 eliminators, and dyno time + map was £475 all in. Made a notable difference with a tad over 170bhp
I think when you add a power commander the difference is night And day.I was very disappointed with the blades power when I got it The power commander changed all that.
