MCN, for about five or six weeks at a time. Then I get bored with the 'everybody hates us because we're bikers' reactionary paranoia that it loves, then I stop buying it for a few months. Otherwise, I agree with you, most other mags just bla bla. But, for my birthday last year I was given a subscription choice and I picked Classic Bike. I really enjoy it. It's a bit anoraky, but I think we've established by now that this isn' a problem for me and there's no bullshit, which is actually quite refreshing.
I read allot and as bike are my main focus I enjoy reading mcn, bike, ride, fast bikes, super bike so most main stream bike mags. Bike and Ride both have some handy info. Such as touring tip in this months mags
Stopped buying mags a few years ago, I only get one now if I'm buying a bike to look at the "spec" etc, their write-ups are usually a loads of balls, this years King of Litres bikes is next years 4th placed loser when nothing has been changed to any of the bikes
Fast Bike for me have them all from issue 1 dropped the other mags - and MCN just doesnt seem to be worth it
Got a subscription to PB and TBM PB is the best bike mag IMO I get mcn if I run out if bog roll. Utter rubbish.
Any one buy RACER it covers all the main types of racing and the paper quality is very good .I have also in the past bought Irish Racing(I think ) which was also a good Read Mainly from WHS .
Do you mean MCN Sport (quarterly I think). If so, it's unbelievably good compared to the weekly paper.
Subscribed to Fast Bikes for the last couple of years, but have read it since it first came out. Not really a fan of PB, Superbike, Ride etc. Occasionally pick up MCN if I happen to meander past a newsagents with it in stock.
I have subscribed to BIKE for a couple of years now and recently had a letter published, however, as you may of read on my posts to this regard, I have yet to see my winnings? Perhaps the offer of a new set of rubbers is also Bla Bla Bla???
Never managed to get my grubby mits on MCN Sport...will look in to it. Not really a fan of BIKE. Seems a little too sensible for me, or I'm too immature for it?
