Hi peeps, I have just ordered a Repsol fairing kit for my RR4 through neverland on eBay. Watch this space! They have a realtime online chat system and tbh doesn't give you too much confidence with what I had to say. System is getting started. [07 December 2012 01:36:31] A representative will be connected, please be patient. dora enters the chatroom. dora 01:36:53 Hello Rob, my name is dora, how may I help you? Rob 01:38:10 Hi, i have just purchased a repsol fairing kit for my cbr1000RR 2004, does the kit come with the abs plastic seat cowl as it's not shown in the picture? dora 01:38:36 sorry to tell you that it is not included Rob 01:38:59 Is it available as a extra? dora 01:39:36 no,we do not have it available Rob 01:40:36 Is the fairing in stock or is it made to order? dora 01:41:16 we do not have it in stock,we need about 10-12 days to paint it Rob 01:45:13 Is the fitment accurate on this product for the cbr1000rr? dora 01:46:16 we could not guarantee it is 100% fit your bike Rob 01:48:29 That sounds a bit worrying how accurate? I guess you must have sold quite a few of the same what have other said in there feedback? dora 01:49:32 some fits well, some are a little unfit Rob 01:51:12 Surely they all come out of the same mould so every fairing should be the same? dora 01:52:08 they have different decals Rob 01:55:06 Yes I know, but I'm talking about the plasics should all be the same for my model? dora 01:56:00 yes Rob 01:57:32 Is the fairing checked over before despatch for damage or scratches? dora 01:59:44 our fairings would not be broken or get scratches before shipment.but it is an international shipment,we could not control the parts would not get broken or scratches on the way Rob 02:01:14 What should I do if I receive parts that are damaged? dora 02:02:00 you could show us some pics,we could reship or refund you Rob 02:02:46 Would I have return the broken parts back? dora 02:03:04 no,you needn't Rob 02:04:23 Ok thanks for the infomation. I just hope it's as good as the photo's show it? So first things first let's see how long it takes to arrive & charges etc...
No they paint them to order, as she says in script, they need 10-12 days to paint it. Ive scrolled through there feedback on ebay for everyone that's bought a fairing for the blade and the customer have all been happy with quality & fitment, so it will be interesting when it finally arrives.
I ordered a set from neverland for me mates bike and fitted them they were a doddle to be honest rear light was a bit of a pig to get in so i fabed 2 little brackets and made it fit !!!! otherwise they all fitted nice . I did have some install pics but cant find them at the minute
Thanks for that wedgie, if you find the pics that would be good and for others. Did you re-use all the bolts and clips from the orginal fairing? The Hanspree looks nice!
Yeah they are bolt for bolt replacement they come with new rear grilles that fit into rear cowling as originals do. And come witrh all new inner plastics that control the airflow to the radiator this all fitted fine . All holes were pre drilled it took me around a hour and half to fit them all with headlight and loom etc as this bike had track panels and subframe on it .
The ones i ordered were £285 inc delivery They started at £325 but a bit of haggling got them down in the end . Also i didnt bother with the heat shielding it was too thick the bike done a 3000 mile trip around europe with no melting issues
Apparently the value they put on them is $90. Some others on ebay feedback to the uk said roughly £25 import duties, if the fairings paint & fit is good then I'll happily pay £100. It would still be a bargain compared to Dream Machine or racepaint. But I'm certainly not expecting that sort of quality. So we will see. Just need to get some cheap CBR wheels so I can paint orange and leave the std wheels black should I put it all back to std. Talking of wheels, will the SP1-SP2 5 spokes fit the 2004 blade?
MY Romans set looked fine from 10' of further away but a few giggles, but the 2008 bikes are notorious for hard to fit panels. On my bike the tail unit and under tray never lined up despite lots of dremelling and the headlights fairings and left side also never quite fitted, but... for what I paid its fair and as I've now smashed them up they paid off lol Quality of paint and deals was very good, have seen a few on RR4 -6 BIKES which fit better
The 2004 bike will have adjustable mounting brackets on the side to help get the fit right. Make sure that the big oval is cut out below the exhaust downpipes as this can overheat and warp the lower side panels if not already cut.
Well the fairing arrived on Monday and picked it up today from parcel force, was eager to get it home to see what its like. I did have a little scare as customs had held it back when it arrived in the UK and track & trace said that I had customs charges to pay before it could be released I was fearing the worst but after ringing them the grand total was £32.00 so all in all £332.00 was the complete price i paid. Anyway with that out the way on opening the box I was amazed at the paint quality, not bad at all. Alright it might not be dream machine or racepaint standard but not very far off at all. You would have to be a perfectionist to grumble against the cost! The plastic is very flexable/ durable which is very important and the same as the originals and all the lugs & fixings are intact (phew). It came with extras such as dark tint screen, 2 carbon gel tank cap covers, carbon gel tank protector and a clear led rear light with intergraded indicators. Communication was first class all the way and even when it was painted they sent me pictures for my approval and I directed them where I wanted the decals and not some like the Michelin logo which I don't use the tyres. You can add anything even the style of the paint etc. If it all goes well I might well buy another, I fancy the yelow & white HB Honda race rep or Cabin endurance rep. So the next stage is to fit it and see how good or bad it might be which I guess is the important bit. I'm gonna wait a while until my dremmel gets here and decide what front indicators I want. I did buy some flush mount jobbies which are chinese and they are shit, the lense fell off which is glued on... crap ! So at the moment all is well, I'm not going to say just yet go and buy one from neverland on eGay but I will update this as soon as I have it fitted. The picture is not great and doesn't reflect the quality at all.
They look good, don't forget though if you get that second set in a different colour not only will it slow it down, you will need a second set of wheels as prob won't look right with the bright orange ones
They look good, a mate got some for his r1 from them aswell and said they are good. Hope they fit well and don't cause problems
I was thinking about keeping the wheels black although I would prefer orange wheels. I am toying with the idea of SP2 wheels and paint those orange.
You ever seen a repsol with black wheels? I have seen one and wasn't to keen but that's just me, everyone's different
