Boss is supposedly taking us out for a Xmas dinner but that's it if anything.
Load of shit really considering how much we make the prick over the year. Office staff get a bonus though, wankers.

And for Xmas we get nothing , nothing at all not even a thank you ,
I'd like to name and shame them but don't want to give the w**kers
    any free advertising .

I usually take the scrap metal up the scrap yard and then divvy up the cash but now you have to have the cash paid into a bank account ,
apparently its to stop metal theft ,although its nothing to do with the tax man wanting to know where all that cash is going!!
    am i sounding synical .probably:rolleyes:

Barney, you will be visited by three spirits in the night. The ghost of Christmas Giv, the oldest, the ghost of Christmas present, Si in a bikini and the ghost of Christmas still to come, obviously the oil tanker driver. Lets hope he gets there before Christmas Eve.

we get a free xmas lunch at 1 of the better hotels locally and £30 voucher for our local supermarket. we,ve always had this but since been taken over by large holding company about 4 years ago we,ve had a mid year bonus as thats there end of fiscal year. usually around 5% of annual salary. i,m grateful to have a job in these times though.

I personally think its shit on you lot.
I am grateful for having had some great staff over the years, and I am only too glad to give them something decent for Xmas and birthdays.... Without them, we would be feked really, and appreciate the work they put in ( if they ddeserve it, of course). We've had some rotters, last one cost us £6k in a tribunal who just plain lied her tits off, but is getting her comeuppance as we speak...she forgot she told us her underhand dealings with housing benefit and so forth, so we blew her up..gonna cost her more than £6 k she stole from us...
Anyway, mention to your bosses they are allowed £250 per employee for a Xmas night out, tax free. ( true) so get them to give it you in monies instead. ;)
    Tight twats.

Well Barney you are not on your own .Its 9.30pm and the gas engineer has just isolated my gas fire which is now in a bucket in the dining room .When i posted you on your thread i was waiting for the service bloke to come but he didn't get here until eight .My issue is the flue has seemed to stop pulling up the fumes and the other night we nearly gas ourselves i thought the fire just needed servicing but when the dude came he tried a smoke bomb and non of the stuff went up the chimney .So its a strange one .(1) The fire which was serviced in March is ok ) The flue which has a cowl on should be ok but there is a hell of a draft coming down although it is still and cold outside ? This draft is pushing the fumes and heat of the gas coals back into the room but it is only a concrete section on section block flue. The guy said it could be the weather but again it was colder last year .The only thing different this year (if it matters ) is that i had cavity insulation fitted in May??? So now no fire but have central heating so not as bad as you dude ,but i now have to work out what is wrong which may be a tough one.
