Another thing I don`t agree with at this time of year is having a Christmas day meal in a hotel/restaurant. No disrespect to children but I couldn`t bear to be crammed in to some makeshift dining room full of families with screaming kids etc , eating some overpriced meal that was probably cooked 1 day previous and kept under the hot lamp ! . Should be spent in the family home with the family. I can understand it from a point of view about no prep work , dishes etc etc but thats just not for me I`m afraid. So I decided this year to volunteer to do the Christmas Dinner in my house for my mum and dad ... :O . Can`t wait
It's New Year's Eve I hate. Have done ever since I was an adult. I'm not good at endings or goodbyes and the end of the year just gives me a little stab at my own mortality. If you ever find me swinging from a light fitting (I haven't got a bannister), it'll be on New Year's Day.
Yeah I hate new Year`s Eve too. i don`t even go out anymore as It`s just not what it used to be.... For a start taxis are an absolute fortune as is the drink. Takes about an hour to get served everytime then there are the swarms of people who have been out all day and are falling everywhere , or sleeping , being sick or at the very worst getting violent. Just can`t be done with it. I used to love it when we were kids and it was great to get to stay up past midnight used to love going round the houses too. None of that nowadays
I'm working Boxing day so no green laning for me.... Even worse ,i get to wave the lads off and i carnt go... Gutted.
got my shifts in today....im working xmas eve,xmas day,boxing day, new years eve and new years day oh the joys.
lol , work in a mental health hospital.....seen a scary ghost movie in an old hospital...thats this place work as a domestic atm but have passed the tests for a support nurse for the ambulance service.
