Manuals are at home and I'm out in the car (Honda crv diesel) and this warning light has flashed up, any ideas?
Oil level seems fine, it did the same symbol last week I turned engine off and on and it went away same happened today
It's the 'low oil pressure' warning light. Most common cause is low oil, other causes are oil pump has packed in, oil filters clogged/need changing.
Just be aware Martin that driving it if there is a fault could do some damage to the engine,do for your own sake get it checked out. Better safe than sorry.
Let the engine cool a bit on a flat and oil is sat just above the min by a mm so fingers crossed a top up will solve it just had to get 2 tyres costing me nearly a months wages so I hope it's just a top up lol
If it was a Merc (which it's not ) .........but just say it was........ then I would say that the oil level was low (hence the sqiggle under the oil can ),if the sqiggle was above the oil can then you would have been a numpty and added too much the last time you topped her up.
Cheers Beckers, forgot you said you were involved with Honda cars when we were talking at the NEC, should of PM'd you first lol
No worries dude. If its that low make sure you top it up and run it between the max/min marks on the dipstick.
