I have a 2011 HRC blade (bought new recently) which I am busy modding over the winter. Cosmetic changes are simple but I am in a dilemma over a replacement exhaust. I have read the threads on the site and these have helped greatly. I have seen Akra's and Yoshi's for sale from the US and mainland Europe at what can only be described as bargain prices, however, I don't think you get something for nothing and if these were truly bargains then how do UK suppliers survive. My question is are these exhausts suitable for UK spec bikes? I guess none of them would be road legal, and lastly has anyone bought one and were there any import issues (duty) from non European countries. The other question I have is about fitting. Which is the simplest for a spanner challenged chap such as myself. Finally I have noticed that the Akra does not seem to come with a fairing infill section, is that true? Cheers all. A merry xmas and a happy new years riding to all.
My yoshi was UK bought but had the USA stamp. Fitted perfect and came with a baffle that killed The noise enough that the local plod wouldn't bat An eyelid over.if importing from America you will Get an import tax that will add a bit to the price but It's still worth it.I changed my yosi for a Leo Vince A few weeks back choosing to get mine from Italy Via eBay and saving myself £90 over dealer price. Only after I got it did one chap at th shop tell me That they order their stock from Italy too :s

Hi big I experienced the same dilemma, also I didnt want to park up and walk around counting the number of akras, yoshi's surrounding my bike so started looking for something different...... I bought from the USA (1st experience) saved a few £ (err $'s!) pipe arrived exactly on estimated delivery time, tracked its movements online daily since being dispatched & paid the import duty and vat (approx £85) and within an hour it was fitted and was stood staring, listening & bloody chuffed. That's my experience & no regrets. Total cost was £415. If u go that way I hope u experience the same. O'yeah, and I haven't yet seen a blade with the same exhaust as mine yet!...... Good luck
Um err,...... I went for the FMF Apex, as FMF are massive in the world of moto x they get my vote. It looks great, the build quality is spot on and it's sounds the nuts I will post pics when I've worked out how to!
