Hi Ash. Haven't been in long myself but was designated driver tonight so stony cold sober. Full up on more coffee than I can process though so it'll be Xbox late into the night for me, I feel.
Out again in Longton near Preston tonight for a few quiet ones with the wife & sister-in-law. Live band on.
No one drinking at the moment? Had a night drinking at the sister-out-laws and been introduced to her new boyfriend who doesn't understand motorbikes and thinks we all have a screw loose.
Although I finished early for the year, Devon and Cornwall constabulary are being extremely proactive on their 'morning after' policy. Two or three mornings over the last fortnight they've set up testing points on my commute. It's one of those circumstances where there is no way that I could judge what or how much alcohol my body's processed by the next day so its not worth taking a chance for me. Sharing the driving is still one of the concepts my beloved wife still seems to think is some kind of stitch up on my part so this time of the year I tend to abstain more often than usual. Tomorrow I'll be driving all day, so habit means that Boxing Day is my Christmas Day again. However, there will be very little coherence to my posts on Wednesday, I promise.
after living like a hermit for months while working away, i was looking for forward to opening some decent wine and port. sadly the drink of choice has been covonia!! real downer as it feels like its getting worse too. normal covonia duiring day and nightime stuff later. along with a diet of nurofen cold n flu i,m not feeling very festive. try some malt whisky later though. at least i,ve got laods of episodes of homeland to watch instead of xmas pish! ah well heres to a merry xmas to all on the forum! hope to make at least a part of the scottish trip next year.
Never underestimated the power of Covonia Alex. Necking a bottle of it is a fairly good, hangover free buzz.
aye i,ve drunk a fair bit of covonia in my time. had the cold a few weeks back and stood outside boots in hounslow slugging it down. must,ve looked a right idiot. although i,d have to drink a lot more than that to make hounslow look a bit more appealing (apologies to anyone how stays there!) for bad cold i used to try nightnurse, always leaves me utterly f****d the next day. and it looks like methodone. not that i,ve had any experience of that though.
