    Kpone - agreed.

He didn't get locked up though, it was just an driving ban.

That'll teach me to post before the coffee starts working.

    Cheers abv.

An 18 month ban for 150. A walk in the park then.

I would take the eighteen months compared to the nine month jail term for someone who was nicked for speeding on one of our local roads at 139mph a couple of years ago

It's bizarre that the motorways are the safest roads to go quickly on, but they're the ones that you'll get caught on.
We'll have to stick to 3 figures on the A/B roads instead ;)

I was done for 50 in a 30 (restricted dual carriageway) and was taken to court.
Judge talked to me like I was scum endangering lives
Etc etc.the road has now been classed a 50 zone so am I still a danger to
Society or was it just riding to the road conditions....

    *falls off chair*
I've only ever seen speed limits drop - never increase.

On the tropical isle they are continually reclassifying our roads and moving speed restriction zones, we have roundabouts with higher speed limits than the dual carriageways around them.

I've had someone driving right up my arse on a dark, but open country road . Didn't overtake, but right up my arse pushing me to go faster.
One headlight dazzling and the other on the pilot light (aka fooked headlights)

I just flipped my rear-view mirror and thought "F*ck 'em. I'm going quick enough. If they drive into me then it's their fault."
It was only when we came into an area that was lit that I saw it was a police Volvo which immediately swung left on a roundabout, no doubt to go back and try and push someone else into speeding

rear in a 60 zone for about 10 miles.then the blues came on and they swung a
    u-turn and headed back.
