Thanks for the pics IomTT they are proper bikes, hulking great air cooled fours in tubular frames. Would have loved to see Stoner and co. muscling them around all the circuits.
Some really nice air cooled behemoths there IOMTT. I'd love to go to that Phillip Island classic meeting, maybe 2014?
Well here a couple of italy's finest that i was fixing for a couple of pals, timing belts on the 999r and a non start problem with MV which was an interesting fault!
It does look good that. I seen a mock up like that for a cbr 750 that Kar Lee had done in the latest Performance Bikes mag. I've got to say that if Honda did do a new 750 class and it looked anything like what Kar had done then they would be on to an instant success. I can only imagine what a lighter more nimbler fireblade would be like
A 750cc V4 super sports bike? Now that would interest me, unless it was like the old VFR which were snatchy when the VTEC kicked in!
Not sure if it based on a V4 or an inline, but either way it would still be an awesome bike. Speaking to a mate about this the other day, I honestly don't know why manufacturers don't make 750's anymore as they would be better off with them rather than the 600's (far better road bike) and bring back the 400's the likes of the NC30 for newer riders. Possibly with insurance being cheaper too for them. It's an inline 4. I'll post a pic of it just now.
Here's a pic from the magazine. To me it looks amazing with cracking detailing going back to the original fireblade with the holes in the front fairing.
