The idea seemed to die... shame, coz I still need one for my RR7... where are you planning on getting one from?
I'm still up for one too!! As has been said in an earlier post, if someone could assemble one for me I'd be very great full and wouldn't see the person out of pocket!!

If you fit an aftermarket exhaust you generally have to disconnect the exup wires. If you want to remove the motor and cables altogether you need one of these to plug in in it's place, to fool the ecu into thinking it's still connected so you don't get a warning light on your dash!!
Ok, I've just had this reply from the chap in the US, I've asked him for a time scale on when he thinks they will be ready to send. I have an abs blade, is the servo motor just as easy to remove as i know the standard bike its just one bolt that you can access from under the seat?
What is the purpose of removing the servo? on my RR5 i just disconnected the control cables at the operating mechanism under the wheel arch and cable tied the ends out of harms way, this way the servo still thinks its doing its job. Its not as if the servo space can be useful for anything.
I guess I figured whats the point of it being in there if its not needed - on the non abs blades, its one bolt and it just whips out from under the seat!
I'm with you mate, however, quite a few people have used the extra space to good effect, as there's not much space available in these bikes for add-ons (eg, HID ballast, PCV, etc)
Another dumb question but what does it actually do on the standard exhaust? Is it an emissions thing??
Its supposed to create back pressure in the exhaust which somehow improves low rev power for pulling away etc. On my RR5 it did make a difference when removed but unless you do alot of town miles its worth removing. the servo opens the exhaust valve opens when revs build up (I forget the value) to allow a free flow for the greater quantity of gasses.
Don't think back pressure is the correct concept here. It forces the exhaust gas down the longer exhaust path, thus increasing torque. P.S. Someone tell me if thats a load of crap
Well on the RR5 the restrictor flap is in the main pipe to the end can, no other route it can take, so yes a load of crap as you say.
