Unfortunately I have crashed my bike and I m currently in the process of collecting parts to restore it back to its original condition.

I have got all the panels except the top fairing and as I can get one for £160 new from Honda (Good ones on ebay approx £100-£120 if you can find one) I might just buy a new one from Honda. If I buy new I have the option to pick the standard one for my 2008 Blade in winning red or go for the 2009 HRC colour scheme one which is basically the same winning red but with a black and white decal on there too. The third option is to go for a motografix white numberboard which is exactly what I had just done the week before I crashed it (waste of £50).

Anyway I m pretty tempted to go for the HRC one just too be a little different but not sure if it will look silly. Please comment on which you think is the best look.

I think the motographics look the best and it protects it from chips aswell .. The HRC would look good aswell thou , Maybe check colour codes with Honda as even a tiny difference will probably be noticeable.

I wonder if you can buy just the front graphics from Honda ?

HRC for me, but deffo check colour codes to make sure they're an exact match otherwise it'll stick out like a sore thumb.

Cheers for the comments. I m not bothered about the paint protection element of fitting the motografix numberboard as you would never see the shiny clean new paint that would be so well protected as it would always be covered over with the Motografix numberboard (ironically), or it would at least whilst I own it so no benefit really but thanks for pointing it out.

Good suggestion on the colour codes. I had already checked here:

RS Motorbike Paint Colours - Motorcycle paint, bike paint, Kawasaki Honda Yamaha

And according to them my red RR8's paint and the red in the 09 HRC Blade are both the same colour which is Honda winning red.

I need to buy the full top fairing as the current one is broke from the crash I had so no point in just buying the decal unfortunately. The idea behind fitting the HRC fairing was to improve the bikes looks instead of just replacing like for like. I thought it might look at bit different and hopefully a bit better than the rather plain standard front end.

Fair comment I m not sure on the white myself, If the HRC just had the black piece it would be a done deal IMO.
