Lovely. If my back holds out long enough to get another sportsbike, I think I will be deserting Honda for BMW. What are your experiences of it so far? Quite a different beast to the 'blade I would imagine?
To be honest mate, I rode it back from the dealers in November, stuck it in the shed and there it has stayed other than a few polishing sessions. Just have to wait for a few months to get some miles on it, but got to say the test ride I had did scare me a bit, in a good way

Just a heads up- MCN had an article today about a recall that effected the bolt holding the side stand on, reports of them coming loose and one of the bolt coming out causing the bike to fall over when the stand was used, quote " 'the side-stand bolts may loosen due to a manufacturing flaw, and as a result the stand can separate from the motorcycle’s frame. The problem affects 2,385 bikes built from September 2011 through December 2012. Under the recall BMW dealers will clean the side-stand mounting plate threads and replace the side-stand mounting plate bolts, free of charge. Also BMW is recalling around 1500 2012-model year S1000RRs built so far because of concern over gradual loosening of connecting rod bolts which may cause engine damage. The recall – dubbed a ‘technical campaign’ by BMW is not a safety recall and owners will be contacted directly.The work affects 150 bikes in the UK with the majority of the 1500 bikes...

It's the sport model, factory alarm, heated grips, gear assist etc.. I've stuck a screen on and looking for levers, I like the ASV ones, but they don't make them for this bike yet
Better bits than ASV for that lovely machine, mate if you wanna move forward you have to go with the times Honda need to play catch up!
