They'd only radio ahead plus get your details off the MWay cameras if you had caught their attention.

If you have bike thats been (mod) there is always a chance your always gonna be over speed limit as its just a little twists of throttle an your hitting speeds.. No matter where your from.

So so much depends on exact circumstances - the good thing about a patrol car is it has a human being inside it - rather than a robot camera.

I know a number of class 1 traffic officers and if you rolled off down to say 75 - 80 and were wearing correct kit, traffic was light in good visibility and plate legal (they really don't care that much about exhausts) there is every chance if they do stop you it could be a severe telling off, or a ticket at a speed that reduces their paperwork (ie. below 100) and avoids you going to court.
They HATE small plates and riders with an attitude / dangerous riding - prob. because of the number of doors they have knocked on to tell a parent 'I'm sorry but your son has been killed in an accident'.

Stop, lid off - gloves off, off bike and see what happens is my advice.

I've been doing a good 80 - 85 and noticed marked car appear behind me - rolled down to 75 and ran next to car - down to 40 limit in road works ended up along side for 1/2 mile - moment we hit the 'national sign' I clicked down a couple of gears and shot off up to about 80 - slowed down to leave next jnc. and as cop car went past got thumbs up and a wave so there you go and shows they ARE human.

They are just jealous that they can't run with one ;)

It's meant to be about ANPR and speed camera's though, so they say, its the law to have a certain size of plate and font :(

mate of mine last year bolted from traffic feds in wales, 5 series bmw caught up, videoed and recorded speed ( 3 figures close to the beemer's electronic limit ) then backed off, radioed ahead and the rest is history. 2yr ban, full re-test, £350 fine + court costs and 180hrs community service from wrexham mags ( judge told him he was gonna get a custodial but relinquished at the last minute when he was called back in for sentencing ). So no bolt for me, pull over eat humble and see.

    Stop :)
At 90-100 you're only looking at an SP50 (3 points?)

If you approach them right and full of remorse then you may just get your knuckles wrapped.

Running will get you a ban ;)

I got pulled with a mate 2 years ago, unmarked copper in Wales. Followed for a bit, then put his blues on, so we pulled over. Ate humble pie, admitted we where way above the limit. He let us off with a caution.

I'd stop no question about it. No excuses, fair cop.
Do the crime, be prepared to take the fine.
Fail to stop and the fine is a lot- LOT more.

Lucky Fecker! I got 5 points and £240 fine for in Scotland last year on a deserted road with no junctions doing 88mph. Pulled over was as nice as pie and they still did me. 20 mins earlier my mates had been across the same road totally maxxed out but cops weren't there! Classic case of wrong place at right time :(
Probably makes up for all the other times I got away with it! :D
