    Going skiing with the Army to Val D'Isere and I need some goggles, what else can a FireBlade owner get :D

    You mean you are being paid by the army to go on holiday to a really expensive ski resort funded by us the tax payer....

    Yep, but it's an exercise and I've got to do a down hill and cross country race as well :p

    I had to '' endure '' that when i was in the army in the early 80's, it was called Operation ' Snow Queen ' , had to learn to down hill ski for 2 weeks in Bavaria..... bloody awful trial that was !! Oh and i got to visit Hitlers Eagles Nest.

    An exercise in how much you can spend in the bar - when did the british army last (or ever) go to war on skis lol

    Its an awesome resort - some fierce Black runs (Face I think its called or is it the wall?) The mens Olympic downhill its tough

    Do you get subsidised drinks as well?

    Ours is called Ex (ALPINE) Snow Fox.

    Did Bavaria but that was on the Lurps course, running around in the Bavarian Forests :rolleyes:

    That all right then Barry, I feel a whole lot better now having just paid my SA tax bill last night and there was me thinking all that money was just going to fund shiny ministerial cars and a subsidised bar at the House of Commons .

    For your info;
    I have to pay for this trip out of my own pocket, yes it is at a greatly discounted rate which the mod has arranged with the travel company. So rest easy, your tax bill has not subsidised my trip.
