My village is in the shadow of the infamous Haldon/Telegraph Hill on the A38 and they've been having problems overnight and this morning, trimming the available lanes to try and slow people down. Meanwhile us, a mile and a half away are, so far, just getting slushy rain. This is exactly what happened the year before last around here when it snowed. It was almost street specific. When I got snowed in and called my boss, who lives about 10 miles from me, to tell I was going to be late in as I needed to walk, he didn't get what I was on about as he had no snow just rain. I reckon it's the bloody Met Office. Ever since they moved down here they've been experimenting with us.
Bright sunshine here but forecast for the white stuff later on tonight, i have seen the snow missing the kingdom totally in years gone by but we will see
We got a shed load yesterday, but nothing more over night which is a bit of a shame as it means we will have no excuse not to attend a black tie dinner in Kensington tonight. Oh well I better dust of the old DJ and bow tie, prepare my liver for the inevitable alcoholic poisoning. Then we have got to do it all again at Tower Bridge on Thursday, I hate this time of year.
You're right mate. There's nothing worse than being better dressed than the waiters. People keep trying to tip you.
For a change we have hardly any here... Struggled to get out of London (3.5hrs and plains trains and automobiles style journey home) to find absolutely no snow!! Wtf!? But as giv says - looks like we are in for a battering tomorrow right through to Monday. Oh well, working from home Monday
Thick and fast now - about 3 inches so far this morning! Not sure the footy will be on, but have to agree with you!! Yid army!!
Amazing up the black mountains yesterday , took our landrover all its got and with out snow chains we would never have got there but at the top the snow was up to my chest in places
Been over the field sledging with the niece and nephew... Still snowing here but they are saying the worst is yet to come tonight!
