Looking forward to it Steve but not excited just yet......after all it is still a quarter of a year off! You're just extra chuffed 'cos there's a new bike comin'!
Gills certainly filling my free time up, destroy it yourself ain't the word, not stopped this year so far! got to go and sit on a beach in India for a couple of weeks yet, blimey, no rest for the wicked, it will come soon enough, just lets all make sure we enjoy it when the time comes
No-one's mentioned this yet but you wouldn't be coming to the Breakfast Meet on it would you Steve?...........bet you can't help yourself
No Steve I won't be , I want to go for nice easy ride out sometime next week , Don't mind the cold , bound to have a dry day soon , (most prob July)
Two weeks on a beach in India or a week on the bike in Scotland with your mates now what would your choice be ???? I know what mine would be.
If I were single I'd never have a beach holiday.... Of my 25 days / 5 weeks holiday it'd be: 1 weeks skiing / boarding 2 week euro tour 1 week summer uk / ring / motogp / wsb / whatever bikey stuff I feel like this year 5 weekday trackdays
You seem to run a single life from what I can see .lol But agree bikes should come first and for most dudes on here that seems to be the case and I bet if Ken could get a pass out he would be up this weekend for breakfast with his loyal supporters.
Ha ha! Far from it.... Me and Lisa do loads together, we just don't have kids so she is cool with me having my week each year and the odd weekend away. As long as she gets her summer holiday and the bikes don't affect us financially then she couldn't care less.... Like most folk on here I spend little else on myself other than the bikes and I like the beach holidays with the mrs, but wouldn't bother if we wasn't together!
H Lads, I have booked the time off 10th to the 14th May, the blade should be run in and hopefully a few more miles under its wheels. I live in Dalgety Bay so it will just a case of working out the best way to meet up with you all. I will take care of accomodation on the route, there is always some place to get bed and breakfast. Hope it is ok to tag a long and i hope you can accomodate a blade newbie but a well behaved one who has been riding for 3 decades. The older i get the more steeped in bikes i get, a great addiction. looking forward to the run, it's a wonderful route, not been on it all but been on most of it. i love Scotland for riding, Heaven on earth for me.
Sounds like absolute bliss to me. Haven't been on a beach holiday in the last 10 years! Not quite sure how I get away with it. A week boarding in Austria or Switzerland would blow any beach holiday away for me
The beach is definiatly my winter tits towards the sun, it's taken Gill 14 years to get me to sit still long enough to even get something resembling a tan. And tbh i thank her for it! I'll be nicely chilled ready for my weekends tour around Scotland in May. That's just one of my long weekend off "friday saturday sunday monday tuesday" I get 12 a year of them, then I've my near 8 weeks holiday off (depending on how my shifts fall on bank holidays) then there's sick leave seriously though I dedicate a lot of my time to The kids in place and of course Gill, but it never interferes with my social life, I can have as much or as little time I need So my line up this year typically will be Two weeks India. Two weeks wobble box "Scotland" Two weeks touring Spain with the hanging from his testicles theFirebloke Two weeks Christmas and new year then my long weekends Which is my day trips with the northerners and perhaps an IOM trip or perhaps two this year? Another long weekend on the bike touring, perhaps a re run of Colin's Scotland tour? Then there's 5 of them I'm sat wishing for better weather Edit. Gill says this time is called DIY time
