    Hi Chaps,

I need to take my wheels out to the tyre fitters. I have an Abba rear stand but no front stand. I have a normal car jack.

Last year I used the jack and the Abba stand to do a fork conversion on a Street Triple and had no problems using both jack & Abba stand to get both wheels off the ground.

Question: Can I achieve this on the Blade using the jack under the headers with the Abba stand on the or do I need to get a dedicated front stand? I have not looked under the fairing to check if there is a gap for the jack to sit onto the headers?

    Thanks in advance :)

The front headers will take the strain, but that being said I wouldn't. You can buy a front stand so cheap nowadays

You could always get 3 mates around to hold up the bike for you.......This is what we had to do in France a couple of years back, as a friend of mine had a service and front tyre on his blade before the trip. When we got there we found that the front wheel was in the wrong way around!! This was a Honda main dealer.

Hahaha - double hahaha for Honda main dealer fail!

I also think you can pitch the bike at an angle on the side stand then lean it against something.. seen it done but would not try it on mine!
