Today I went and picked up a repacked custom comfort seat for the Blackbird.

All I really wanted with this seat was a little more comfort, and looking at other seats, they were coming in at around the £200-£350 mark.
I found a guy close enough by to me on ebay and thought it would be worth a try as at worst I could always put a standard 1 back on.
I cant tell you enough on how good this seat is in qaulity and comfort. Here's some pics.

All in this cost me £85 which I honestly cant believe. Fantastic value.
While there I asked him if he could do my Fireblade seat. £45 !!!!
He also does different designs/pipeing colours/textures etc. etc. etc.

That looks a quality job and would still be good value a nearly double the price as you suggest!

    Here we go

Honda Blackbird Touring Comfort Custom Seats CBR 1100 | eBay

Don't be put of by the price and the fact that this is for a blackbird seat. The price here also includes him supplying a oem Honda seat. You can send him your seat and he will cover it for you for far cheaper and turn around is quick.

    Hope this helps ;)

I've been looking at the Sargent seats?

Sargent Honda CBR 1000 RR motorcycle seat

Is this guy comparable to a degree?

Price is not that important but if I can get sumat approaching the Sargent for a lot less then it's gota be worth a punt?

Could do with speaking to someone whose had a Blade seat off him?

He's on par with these seats mate. He was a coach fitter for 30 years doing all the upholstery, so he knows his stuff.

I will be getting my fireblade and SP1 done in the next few months I'm that confident in the guy. You won't be disappointed. The Suzuki and Honda dealership up here use him for any repairs or customs.

Get speaking to him and he'll send you some pics of some of his work.

    No problem

I wouldn't recommend someones work unless they deserved it. I'm kinda fussy when it comes to the bikes, but I wouldn't hesitate on having my seats done with him.

I asked Jimmy for some photos of Sports Bike seats he'd done so I can make a choice.

Trouble is he says he can't post pictures (don't know why) so has just directed me to his ebay feedback.

That's all well and good, I've got no doubt he can do a top job and all that, but no pix is useless if one is trying to pick a design or look of a seat.

It's not like he's local so I can waz over and have a chat?

Not sure how to proceed without pix?

Keep your original seat, and buy a pair of cycle shorts or horse riding under shorts, they have gel pads built into the bum cheeks and the bit where the coccyx is. Very comfy giv.
