Always fancied a helmet to match the Repsol, but all the well known ones are out of stock now and impossible to find a new one for sale. So been searching around with no luck trying to get one with no luck at all.

Then I came across this ........... And bought one.

It's a Bell M5X LMA (White, Orange & Black) and can be found through a few Bell Stockists for £355.00

I'm over the moon with it, and it's as near a perfect colour match as you'll get without having a custom paint job done.

But the import thing is....... It has a full 5 Star Sharp test rating for frontal impact, top impact, back impact and side impact. A full 100% score for safety test, which is rare.

    Loving it.

    Yep, Carbon.

Bell Helmets do tend to look abit old school and their designs could be abit more adventurous. But the spec is better than most of the Jap helmets out there. I've been a Shoei wearer for years, but I am impressed with the new BELL.

My Photography (Camera) doesn't do it any justice. It's alot better in reality.

To be honest, it's not a comfortable as my old Shoei Raid II. But that was well worn in.

But needs to be worn in for a few weeks before you can really tell.

I'm an awkward size, right between medium (58) and large, so always have to decide wether I want a tight fit or a loose fit and wear a balacalava underneath, went for a tight fit with this one and hoping the cheek pads compress a little. Head size of Bell Helmets seem to be abit rounder than the Shoei, so if you have a round head, it's a good fit, if you have a narrow head, then your better considering going up abit in size. Really do have to try one before deciding on the size though.

See your not too far up the road from me (Basingstoke), I normally do the Loomies runs, when the weather isn't crappy like it is now.
