Does any one have this on their bike apart from where your heel hits the swing arm ? If so where abouts, how much etc
I've got the full kit on mine plus i put extra cut shaped pieces on the main frame where your knees rub and also on the part of the belly pan directly infront of the down pipes that holds the bottom of the mid fairings, to stop stone chips after having the belly pan sprayed.
yup a made up kit on mine There is a bit on the leading edge of the front mud guard and both sides /The headlights /front fairing / tank /sides parts of each side of mine side panels The thing is its that good you cant see it so there may be more. There is loads of info on this product within the thread pages it just means a bit of time to locate them .Great product and would rank maybe as the best mod you could do for the money.
The guy on the venture shield stand at Springfields bike show said a Blade kit is £90 normally and £80 at the show... I have an R&G gel sticker on my swingarm where my clown feet touch - works ok so far!
Just about to get this on my 2012 blade. I regretted it having watched the stone chips accumulate on the front, but thanks to a warranty issue I'm about to get two new side fairings and a new nose one fairing, so this time it's being installed immediately!
Too true! I'm all lined up to have a recommended mobile installer visit the Honda dealership whilst the bike is with them. I'm pretty good at things like that but for fear of even slightly buggering it up I'm leaving it to the experts
it was already on my RR6 when i bought it, it did its job...even after 3 years the paint was untouched. Watching the guy on the stand fit it it did look pretty easy as the spray under the shield lets it move around until your'e happy and then squeegee the spray out and fix it. I did some signwriting a few years ago and its deffo not as easy as it looks! lets face it 80-90 quid of kit ruined for an extra 20-30 quid of fitting makes sense.
As I typed my last question I thought, just go to the Venture site and email the question, so I just have! I'm waiting on a quote for a mobile fitter to visit the Dealership to apply a full kit before the Bike even sniffs fresh air!
Not sure about mobile fitting because you need a warm and clean workshop to fit the stuff without bits of fluff etc getting behind the film. It looks easy to fit at the shows but it's not. I spent about two hours covering my rear seat cowl only to have the cowl fall off on my next ride... A lot of good the venture shield did ha ha. I can recommend a fitter in Daventry - just Google ventureshield and he will come up. He spent about 5 hours fitting the full kit on my repsol. He said it's much easier on a plain colour as there are no steps where the transfers gives an uneven line and traps air. Nearly 2 years later and 9k miles still nil stones chips.
I,ve got full kit on mine, it was fitted by venture shield at Warrington who fitted it at dealers, took the fitter over two hours to fit it and he knew what he was doing. Glad I didn't say I would fit it !
This sounds like a great idea, is it very expensive to buy and get fitted then? has anyone got any piccys of it fitted, and do you just polish straight over the top of it?
Ha! You can nearly see the stuff on your own bike so you would never be able to photograph it .Tap it in on YouTube it's all there dude .Cant think of the price as I always have it in the deal and fitted at the bike shop .but I suppose about £300.00 would be tops but don't quote me.
Got the full kit on mine, 5 year old bike but looks as good as new. Worth every penny, if I can ever afford to buy a new blade I would put venture shield top of my list.
